12 Sports Consulting is a private recruiting advisory firm. The information you share with us is used to provide the advisory service you hired us for — nothing else.
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not share your data with third parties for marketing.
- We do not use your data to advertise to you or to anyone else.
- SMS opt-in data is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
The detailed policy follows.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you engage our services, including:
- Parent and athlete name, email address, and mobile phone number
- Athlete recruiting information (high school, graduation year, position, GPA, test scores, physical measurables, film links)
- Parent contact information and family communication preferences
- Payment information processed through Stripe (we do not store credit card numbers on our servers)
- Documents you upload to your client portal (transcripts, film, recruiting materials)
- Messages exchanged with our team through the portal or by email
2. How we use your information
We use the information you provide for the following purposes only:
- To provide recruiting advisory services to your family
- To communicate with you about your athlete's recruiting process
- To share relevant recruiting materials and updates by email, text message, or through the client portal
- To present your athlete to college coaches through our Coach Share system (only with your prior consent)
- To process payments and maintain billing records
- To comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud
3. SMS / text message communications
If you opt in to text alerts through the client portal at /portal/profile, your mobile phone number is stored solely for the purpose of sending you recruiting-related notifications (NCAA period changes, camp deadlines, time-sensitive coaching opportunities, and similar). You may opt out at any time by toggling the opt-in setting off in your portal, or by replying STOP to any message.
Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared with third parties, affiliates, or any other entity for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS data is used exclusively for our advisory service communications.
Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. Message frequency varies based on recruiting activity; typically a few messages per month per family. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only with the following categories of recipients, and only as necessary to provide our services:
- College coaches: With your prior consent, we share your athlete's recruiting profile, film, and academic information with college coaches as part of the recruiting outreach process. You control which coaches receive your athlete's information through the Coach Share system.
- Service providers: We use third-party services to operate our platform, including Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Resend (transactional email), Twilio (text messaging), and Vercel (hosting). These providers process your information only on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services.
- Legal compliance: We may disclose information when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of 12 Sports Consulting, our clients, or others.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your information for marketing or advertising purposes.
5. How we protect your information
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data in transit, encrypted storage for data at rest, role-based access control limiting admin access to authorized personnel only, and Row-Level Security policies in our database that scope each client's data to only that client's family. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers.
6. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as you are an active client of 12 Sports Consulting, and for a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping, regulatory, and reference purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing rudy@12sportsconsulting.com. Some records (signed agreements, payment receipts) may be retained as required by law.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the information we hold about you and your athlete
- Correct inaccurate information through the client portal at
/portal/profile - Request deletion of your data (subject to legal record-keeping requirements)
- Opt out of text messages at any time
- Withdraw consent for Coach Share at any time

8. Children's privacy
Our services are intended for parents and guardians of high school athletes. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Athletes under 18 are enrolled by, and information is provided by, the parent or legal guardian.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify active clients of material changes by email or through the client portal. The current version is always available at this URL.
